Disaster Cleanup Services

Winter is over, and spring is in full effect. The weather is warmer, and summer will soon be here. Everyone loves the warmer weather that comes with the summer. Fun outdoor activities and family gatherings are always at the top of everyone’s list. With all the fun to be hand, we tend to forget about maintaining our homes. Mold grows faster during the warmer months and can cause mold to grow all over your home.

How do I Know If I Have Mold?

Mold has a distinct smell. Before you see mold stains, you will have a musty smell inside your home. You may only notice it sometimes, but it is there. If you have a musty smell, you likely have mold growth from water damages on your property. If you see stains on your walls or ceiling, it is time to call a professional to check your home for Mold. Mold loves to grow in dark and warm areas. If you have had water damages, have a small leak in your roof or a pipe, it becomes the perfect breeding ground for mold.

What Should I Do if I Have Mold Stains?

If you see mold stains, call a professional mold removal service. Mold not only caused structural damages but can make you and your family ill. Mold can cause severe allergies. This is why it is important never to remove the Mold yourself. If you remove Mold from one area and leave it in another, it will continue to grow. All Mold must be removed from your property. Once removed the area must be sanitized to kill any mold spores. If this is not completed, Mold will grow back in the places that were recently repaired. It is also vital that the water damage source is found and repaired. If you do not repair the source of the water, Mold will continue to grow in that area and spread through your home.
