Disaster Cleanup Services

Winter is coming to an end, and Spring is right around the corner. With the change of seasons comes home checklists. Checking the interior of your home should be completed on a regular basis. By checking different parts of your property, you eliminate the risk of disasters occurring. Below, we will give you a list of places you should inspect before Spring officially starts!

Check Your Basement and Attic

Basements and attics are often ignored when people check their homes. These areas aren’t used on a regular basis, so it is easy for them to slip through and go unnoticed. Unfortunately, your attic and basement can house water damages. Attics and basements both can have leaks that go unnoticed for months. If this occurs, your home could experience a severe mold problem and rot. By checking all areas of your basement and attic, you avoid the surprise of expensive water damages.

Test Fire Alarms and Fire Extinguishers

Fires can spread quickly through a home and destroy everything you hold dear. By taking the time to test your fire alarms and change the batteries, you are keeping you and your family safe. You should test your fire alarms regularly. Fire extinguishers can expire and become broken. Check that all fire extinguishers are in working order and their proper places.

Have your Water Heater Checked

Water heaters should have maintenance completed. Having a professional check, your water heater can save you from experiencing a fire or water damages. Water heaters can become damaged and can either catch on fire or cause extensive water damages.

Scheduled Maintenance on Your HVAC System

Your HVAC system runs continuously, and if not cared for properly can cause damages to your home. Not only can mod growth form, but dirty filters can cause the air quality in your home to drastically decline, causing you to become ill.
